quick fixGot 60 minutes? That’s all it’s going to take to fix you head-to-toe.

Endless meetings, tons of reports, and

agonizing phone calls. Sometimes, you wish you could get away from it all. Heading for the beach this instant, however, may not be an option. You can’t afford to go sunbathing while your company falls apart without you. So what can you do to relax for a while? Hit the salon.

There’s nothing more soothing than being pampered while a barber snips your hair or shaves off your beard. What’s more, you’ll look good after. And if every minute in your Rolex counts, then a quick stop in the salon would be the best way to forget your woes.

Got only an hour? No problem. Bruno’s Barbers recommends several treatments which could help you relax and unwind with style.

Haircut (20 minutes)

No salon experience would be complete without a haircut. You could go for the usual clean cut or be more daring and ask the barber to chop it all off. Coloring your hair is also an option, especially if you want to hide those white strands from public view.

Mentholated Scalp Treatment (15 minutes)

Is dandruff a problem? Well, this treatment promises to get rid of those unwanted flakes. After the haircut, a special ointment is applied to your hair while a barber massages your scalp.

Facial (30 minutes)

There’s no better way to remove those frown lines than to have a facial. Aside from the stress-relieving facial massage, it also clears your skin of impurities and increases blood circulation. There are several types of treatments out there but if you have sensitive skin, you can try the hypoallergenic facial. This mild treatment makes your skin less prone to irritations.

Shave (10 minutes)

Looking for a good old fashioned shaving experience? Then you came to the right place. More than just gliding a razor over your beard or mustache, shaving at barbershops comes with a hot towel treatment and a chin massage.

Ear cleaning (10 minutes)

Yes, you can probably do this on your own. But if you’re afraid of poking your own eardrums, then let the experts do the work for you. Using a magnifying glass, a salon staff member peers at your ear while gently cleaning it with a cotton swab soaked in a special solution.

Body Massage (30 minutes)

Who says you need to go to a spa for a body massage? At Bruno’s all you need to do is sit on a barber’s chair while an attendant tilts it back for you and presto! You have an instant massage bed. And if you’re worried that your barber may not know how to pinch you in the right places; don’t be. The salon has trained masseurs who could make you fall asleep with relaxation.

Manicure (30 minutes)

Give those hands a little rest from typing on your laptop or fiddling too much with your Blackberry. Have your nails cleaned and get a little hand massage as well.

Foot Spa with Pedicure (45 minutes)

Your feet may be hidden inside those shiny leather shoes, but that’s no reason to neglect them. In a foot spa, your feet are first soaked in a warm solution and then gently scrubbed to remove dead skin cells. After that, a foot lotion is applied while your feet get massaged.

If you have an hour, you can pick several treatments (haircut, body massage, and, perhaps, a manicure) that will easily fit in your schedule. Or you can feel like a king and experience the treatments all at one go. Imagine yourself surrounded by the salon crew while they massage your face, clean your hands and give you a foot spa all at the same time.

The whole salon experience costs anywhere from 2,000 (US$42.95) to 3,500 pesos (US$ 74.49). A pittance in exchange for work-related stress relief.
